National Policy For Exploitation Of Coal Rejects

Will the Minister of COAL be pleased to state :-

(a) whether Government has any national policy for exploitation of coal rejects (washery rejects);

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) if not, the reasons therefor; and

(d) by when such a policy would be implemented?

(a) to (d): No national policy for exploitation of coal rejects has been framed by the Government. However, the formulation of policy on disposal of surplus coal, by-products and middlings/rejects from captive blocks is under consideration of the Government.
